Surf or Sound Realty's Official Beach Driving Position

Surf or Sound unconditionally supports beach driving and open access to Cape Hatteras National Seashore for recreational use. 

We fully support the Negotiated Rulemaking process in developing a new ORV plan for Cape Hatteras National Seashore.  Until the new ORV plan is completed by 2010 we support the Park Service’s management of the Interim Plan put in place on April 16, 2008.

We urge all people who are interested in maintaining open access to Cape Hatteras National Seashore to make their views known by writing to their congressional delegates in their home states. Since the National Seashore is Federal Property citizens need to make their feelings known directly to their federal representatives.  For a list of the representatives and their contact information in your state visit www.house.gov or www.senate.gov.
