2010 Rates Available for Most of our Homes!
Check out the 2010 rates for most of our homes, now published on each home's property details page. Or check out our 2010 Rates Page to find the 2010 rates for your vacation rental home compared with the 2009 published regular rates. You will notice that most of the rates are not increasing for 2010. In fact, some rates have decreased. If the home for which you are searching does not appear on the list, then the 2010 rates for that home have not been confirmed.

Easy Payment Installment Plans for 2010
To help you fit your family vacation into next year's family budget, we are offering a 3-payment plan and a 4-payment plan providing you a choice of how you prefer to spread your payments over time and make your budgeting easier. We're flexible so you can choose the plan that best fits your needs. With either of our Easy Payment Installment Plans, you only pay one installment this year. The rest isn’t due until 2010. You won't need to worry about making a big payment all at once or experience the hassle of having to make a payment every month.
For your convenience, installment payments can be made by any method of payment: VISA/MC, automatic bank draft, e-check or personal check (US funds). Choose one method for all payments or combine methods. We're flexible.
Cape Hatteras Beaches are #7 Beach in America
Dr. Stephen Leatherman, also known as Dr. Beach has released his 2009 list of Top Ten Beaches in America today. Cape Hatteras appeared on the list for the second year in a row, this year at #7. Last year Buxton's Lifeguarded Beach was #8. Cape Hatteras also appeared on the list in 2003. Ocracoke Island, which is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore has appeared on the list 6 times in the past 8 years until it topped the list at #1 in 2007 which retired it from being amongst the Top Ten in future years.

If you are curious to see what previous guests thought about the home you are interested in, look no further than the property details page of that home on our website. You will see a display of 1 to 5 starfish representing the overall rating for the home, 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. If you click for ratings details, you can see the questions that were asked along with how many people rated the home so far. All of these ratings have been submitted by guests who stayed in the home either in 2008 or 2009. We display the most recent 15 reviews, but there is a minimum of 3 reviews required to display the ratings. We hope you enjoy this exciting new feature of our website!!

See the Total Cost of your Reservation before you fill anything out!
We launched a new tool in Step One of the booking process that will enable you to see the total cost of your reservation including all fees, taxes and options. It's easy! Just click to book the week of your choice, then click the Quick Quote Calculator button in Step One to open the calculator. There you can select or deselect options to see the affect they have on your taxes and total cost.

Hatteras Island made the News in 2008
- Buxton Beach at Cape Hatteras was named the #8 Beach in America based on Dr. Beach's top ten "Best Beach in America" list for 2008.
- Cape Hatteras National Seashore was also listed as one of USA Today's "10 Great National Parks That Will Engage Your Kids" because of the local history of pirates, shipwrecks and lighthouses.
- Parts of the major motion picture, "Nights in Rodanthe" starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane were filmed right here on Hatteras Island. If you watch closely, you'll see the Rodanthe beach at Mirlo and the Rodanthe Fishing Pier along with many local residents and musicians. Some local musicians even play on the soundtrack CD!
