Getting Married on the Beach in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore
Special permits are required to get married within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This includes all oceanfront beaches and the grounds of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. There are two different permits available depending on the type of wedding, and both require an application fee. It takes about 15 days for the permit to process, so be sure to apply early. For more information about obtaining your permit, call the National Park Service at 252.473.2111.
