With the Gulf Stream just 15 miles away, Hatteras Village is known for some of the best charter fishing off the North Carolina coast. This small town has more marinas than anywhere else on the Outer Banks, including Teach’s Lair, Hatteras Harbor Marina, and Oden’s Dock. Visitors can also board the free NC ferry that departs daily across Hatteras Inlet to neighboring Ocracoke Island. Ideal for boaters and fishermen, Hatteras Village also has an array of galleries, shops, restaurants, and the Hatteras Landing shopping center for fun rainy day activities. With stunning vacation rental homes that have all the modern amenities, (and gorgeous ocean views to boot,) but plenty of down-home charm, Hatteras Village is not your typical Outer Banks beach town.
